One of the top priorities of the Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage is and always has been the health and safety of our students, clients, our staff and the entire community.
As the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to persist within our community and the guidance from the state and federal governments is updated on an ongoing basis, we want to reassure our OSTM Family that we are actively monitoring the situation and supporting efforts of health and safety through social distancing and providing our current students a combination of distance learning, as well as on campus opportunities. The campus is open, and continues to monitor and abide by New York States mandates for health and safety.
We know that many in our community have come to rely on us for not only educational services but regular massages. We appreciate the support of our community and look forward to providing you many more years of the services you’ve come to depend on when this crisis subsides. I know that for many, the relaxation and health benefits of therapeutic touch through massage will be needed now more than ever after so much time spent in isolation.
As safety and health is at the cornerstone of everything OSTM does, we are committed to providing our students and clients resources to assist them through this difficult time. Please refer to the CDC’s website (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html) about the novel Coronavirus or New York State’s website regarding statewide updates (https://coronavirus.health.ny.gov/home) for recent updates and information on COVID-19.
For our friends in the massage therapy community who may need resources on unemployment insurance or financial assistance due to COVID-19, please refer to the AMTA’s resources page for more information (https://www.amtamassage.org/articles/1/News/detail/4023/amta-is-committed-to-keeping-you-informed-on-covid-19).
We appreciate your patience and will continue to provide updates to our OSTM Family regarding our classes and massage clinic as this situation evolves.
Stay Safe and Be Well,
The OSTM Team
